Shifting Clothes is an online marketplace for pre-loved (previously owned), handmade and vintage clothing and accessories. It was inspired by the fact that the average woman in the UK only wears 10% of her wardrobe on a regular basis, and accumulates over £13,000 of unworn clothes in her lifetime! Whether these facts are true or not, it seems valid to say that most females you speak to have many clothes stored up that they do not wear. The concept for a marketplace dedicated to pre-loved clothing developed later on to include vintage, handmade and originally designed pieces.
